Almost the big day!

Well, here is Maggie.

She's a very sweet girl who likes to stay close to her humans. Her favorite human is the one in the kitchen. I hope she doesn't decide to hvae her puppies there. She is most content sprawled out on the floor between the refrigerator (someone might drop something) and the stove (someone might drop something).

Today, she's done a lot of sleeping. It seems she's growing rounder by the minute. We can feel the puppies moving when we put our hands flat on her tummy, which is pretty amazing. I'm trying to imagine how big they are and what color, and I wish she would just hurry up and go into labor.

She's had a few symptoms - pacing back and forth and looking worried, for one. But that's also a symptom of ham being cooked nearby. She has done a little bit of panting and whining (a symptom of a cat being nearby) and some groaning and moaning (a symptom of having her ears scratched).

Right now, she's fast asleep ... definitely not a symptom of labour!
