Yes, Carmelo does like to be in the middle of things, both horizontally and vertically. You cannot, afterall, see what's going on when it's all going on three feet above your head! As it turns out, Carmelo loves cooking. He stayed with me through the entire meal preparation - about 45 minutes, just quietly observing all the kitchen sounds and smells. I had to be careful not to dip his little feet in the goings on!
