Well, the little bears will be five months old on December 29. Jpeg has been adopted and has just gone to his new forever home. Vista is still here, sweet as ever and growing like a little weed.
We met the owner of a black labradoodle while out walking, and she asked if Vista is a labradoodle. She said her dog, at five months, looked exactly like Vista. So there you go... if you want to know what Vista will look like as an adult, imagine a labradoodle.
Vista very rarely makes yellow circle shapes in the house now. She is leash trained, crate trained, sit-and-wait trained, jump-on-the-couch-when-nobody's-looking trained, let-the-cat-lick-your-face-trained and run-as-fast-as-you-can-across-the-prairies-when-you-hear-a-train-coming trained.
What more could you want in a puppy?
Oh, and she's almost don't-take-the-sausage-off-the-coffee-table trained, too.
First we put the piece of sausage on top of the coffee table and she learned to leave it alone. Then we put the piece of sausage on the bottom shelf of the coffee table, right by her nose. Just as the lesson began, the doorbell rang. We forgot about the sausage and remembered it just in time to see it disappearing into Iggy's mouth.

Hey - that wasn't Vista's fault! It's Iggy that needs training.
